Research on a New Preparation Process of Copper Tiles for Mineral Furnace
Copper tiles are mainly used in submerged arc furnaces,and their high-strength and high conductivity performance is particularly important in transmitting large currents.In response to the requirements for comprehensive performance of copper tiles,a new process has been proposed for the production and processing of copper tile plates.By using a semi continuous cast-ing process,flat ingots are casted and sawn to size and then heated before rolling.The rolled copper ingots are sawn into cop-per billets of corresponding size,which are then formed and processed by using a series of machining equipment.This im-proves the requirements for heat resistance,thermal conductivity,and mechanical strength of copper tiles.After relevant ex-perimental analysis and on-site application,it has been verified that this process effectively reduces copper tile faults,increa-ses the service time of copper tiles,relatively reduces the downtime of the submerged arc furnace,and thus improves the eco-nomic benefits.
