Practice of Multicolor Flow Cytometry in the Teaching of Infectious Diseases
Multicolor flow cytometry is a widely used cytological detection technique in the field of infectious diseases. In order to enhance the teaching of infectious disease graduate students, the team has developed a comprehensive multi-color flow course system and gained valuable teaching experience through practical application. This paper focuses on several key aspects of the multi-color flow cytometry course for infectious disease graduate students, including determining the course objectives, designing the course structure, selecting the course content, deciding the course format, and outlining the course.Additionally, the author emphasizes the importance of the practical application of multicolor flow cytometry and shares preliminary experiences, such as identifying the sample types that can be detected using this technique, understanding the different instrument types, discussing staining strategies and experimental schemes, enhancing the ability to analyze stream data and interpret results, and emphasizing biosafety protocols during multicolor flow cytometry practices. The development of this course will greatly contribute to the students'understanding of immunology and the pathogenesis of infectious diseases, and will provide them with a strong foundation for their future work in infectious disease prevention and immunology research.
