Application of Case Teaching Method in Neurosurgery Clinical Practice Skills Teaching
Objective To explore the effect of case teaching method in the teaching of neurosurgery clinical practice skills.Methods 80 neurosurgery clinical practice students in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects.40 students who adopted the traditional teaching method in the academic year 2021 were included in the control group,and 40 students who adopted the case teaching method in the academic year 2022 were included in the research group,and the assessment results and teaching satisfaction evaluation were compared.Results The theoretical assessment,clinical knowledge,and case analysis scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The understanding of basic knowledge,mastery of key content,feasibility of teaching mode,learning interest,classroom atmosphere,teacher teaching enthusiasm,and teacher-student interaction scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Adopting case teaching method in clinical practice skills teaching of neurosurgery can improve teaching effectiveness,enhance students'theoretical knowledge and operational skills,and result in higher satisfaction evaluations of teaching.
