Analysis of the Effect of Blended Teaching Mode Applied to the Education of Pediatric Medical Students
Objective To explore the changes in teaching quality after the application of blended teaching mode in pediatric medical student education.Methods A total of 82 medical students who interned in the department of pediatrics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from March to July 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into 2 groups according to the lottery method.The conventional group consisted of 41 students who received traditional teaching mode,while the study group which also consisted of 41 students,was taught with blended teaching mode.The differences in teaching quality,teaching effectiveness,and comprehensive abilities between the two groups were compared.Results The teaching quality score of the study group[(55.62±6.17)points]was higher than that of the conventional group[(41.95±5.22)points],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The scores of teaching effect(professional knowledge mastery,learning initiative,expression and communication ability,learning efficiency)in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The scores of comprehensive ability(clinical thinking,doctor-patient communication,teamwork and professional quality)in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The blended teaching mode has a significant effect in the education of pediatric medical students,which can improve the teaching quality,teaching effect and comprehensive ability of medical students.
