Characteristics and Protective Measures of Patients'Privacy in Clinical Internship of Infectious Diseases
Medical students inevitably have to contact with various privacy of patients with infectious diseases when they do clinical internship. The special characteristics of infectious diseases increase the psychological burden of patients and make them more conscious of self-protection.The risk of exposing patients'privacy during clinical internship is increased because medical students have limited knowledge of infectious diseases and awareness of privacy protection.Attending physicians hold a large amount of private information about patients, which is beneficial for analyzing the condition and formulating treatment plans, but also poses a constant risk of disclosure. As a bridge between medical students and patients, clinical instructors need to select appropriate patients in advance and sign informed consent forms, provide a good ward environment, reasonably guide the internship, and properly manage materials related to patient privacy. It is necessary to enhance medical students'awareness of protecting patients'privacy and maintain good teaching order during the internship. After the internship, all the information should be collected to avoid leakage and spread. At the same time,it is necessary to carry out legal education and explore new internship models,so as to improve the teaching quality and effectively avoid violating the privacy of patients.
