Thinking and Exploration of the Internship Teaching Model for International Medical Students in the New Era
With the rapid development of science and technology and the economy in China,along with the improvement of its international status,the education of international medical students has received increasing attention,making China an important destination for medical students from South Asia and Southeast Asia to study abroad.Through an in-depth analysis and reflection on the internship teaching of international students in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University in recent years,it has been found that there are issues such as"foreign faces hindering internship learning to a certain extent","online classroom teaching needing optimization",and"insufficient professionalism in English instruction".Effective rectification measures are proposed,including"strengthening English teaching capabilities","effectively using case-based teaching to stimulate students'thinking","actively leveraging the advantages of teaching platforms",and"optimizing teaching strategies to enhance online teaching effectiveness"are proposed.The goal is to establish a mature teaching system for international students.Teachers should continually summarize their experiences and lessons in teaching practice,striving to cultivate qualified medical students with a solid foundation in medical theory and active clinical thinking,supported by high English teaching standards,rich teaching resources,and diverse teaching models,thereby contributing to international medical education.
