Application of the BOPPPS Teaching Model in Medical Cell Biology Instruction
Medical Cell Biology occupies a core position in basic medical education. In response to the challenges posed by traditional teaching methods, such as the disconnection between teaching content and the latest research findings, overly microscopic and abstract content, weak links between theory and clinical practice, and low student engagement, the BOPPPS teaching model has been adopted for reform. This model is based on constructivist theory, emphasizes student-centered learning, and values the cultivation of students'autonomous learning abilities.By utilizing the Cloud Classroom platform,it makes full use of online resources to implement a blended teaching approach that combines online and offline methods, thereby expanding the time and space for teaching, innovating teaching content, and enhancing student participation, learning interest, and the cultivation of innovative spirit.Practical evidence shows that this teaching model has a significant application effect among five-year clinical medical students.Students in the reformed classes achieved higher exam scores and satisfaction levels compared to those in regular classes, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).This model effectively improves learning outcomes, and the medical students it cultivates are more aligned with the goals of medical talent development in the new era and the"Healthy China"initiative.
