Expression of Serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p in Early Cervical Cancer and their Predictive Efficacy for Postoperative Recurrence
Objective To explore the expression levels of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p in early cervical cancer(ECC)and their predictive value for postoperative recurrence.Methods 82 ECC patients admitted to the outpatient clinic of Hanzhong city People's Hospital were estab-lished as the research group,and 74 healthy women who underwent physical examinations at the hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.The expressions of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p were compared between the 2 groups.The research group was divided into a recurrence subgroup(n=23)and a non-recurrence subgroup(n=59)according to whether it was recurrent or not,and the clinical data and laboratory indexes of the two subgroups were an-alyzed by univariate analysis;logistic multifactorial regression was used to analyze the factors af-fecting the postoperative recurrence;the receiver operating curve(ROC)was used to analyze the value of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p expression levels in predicting postoperative recur-rence of early cervical cancer.Results The expressions of serum miR-1 93a-3p and miR-146b-5p were lower in the research group than in the control group(P<0.05).The proportion of high-risk HPV positivity,FIGO staging,depth of cervical infiltration,lymph node metastasis,squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC-Ag)levels in the recurrence subgroup were higher than those in the non-recurrence subgroup(P<0.05),whereas the expression levels of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p in the recurrence subgroup were lower than those in the non-recurrence subgroup(P<0.05).Low expressions of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p,high-risk HPV positivity,and SCC-Ag were independent risk factors for postoperative recurrence(P<0.05);the optimal cut-off values of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p for predicting postoperative recurrence were 0.57 and 2.12,respectively,and the sensitivity,specificity,and AUC for the combination of the two were 82.61%,96.61%and 0.932,respectively.Conclusion The expression levels of serum miR-193a-3p and miR-146b-5p in ECC patients might show abnormal changes;both could serve as sen-sitive indicators for predicting postoperative recurrence,and their combined predictive value is higher.
