Research of Karl Fischer method for determining trace water content
The Karl Fischer(K·F)water measurement method is a trace moisture determination technique based on the oxidation-reduction reaction of iodine and sulfur dioxide.The principle,conditions,process,and development of the K·F water measurement method were introduced in this article.The K·F method is widely used in industries such as chemical,petroleum,pharmaceutical,and food due to its high precision and accuracy.And the advantages and disadvantages of K·F volumetric method and Coulomb electrolysis method were elaborated in detail,and the improvement and perfection of K·F reagents and instruments were discussed.
