Efficacy of Sequential Therapy in the Treatment of Mild to Moderate Acne
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of sequential therapy(traditional Chinese medicine + fruit acid + fire acupuncture)in the treatment of mild to moderate acne and its effect on the skin barrier of patients. Methods:A total of 86 patients with clinically diagnosed mild to moderate acne were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 43 cases each. The control group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine + fruit acid, and the observation group was treated with sequential therapy(traditional Chinese medicine + fruit acid + fire acupuncture)at different stages, among which fire acupuncture was carried out 4~5 days after fruit acid surgery, once in 2 weeks, and 4 times in both cases, for a total of 8 weeks. The treatment effect was evaluated by lesion score,DLQI score and standard facial image, and the transdermal water loss, stratum corneum water content,pH value, and epidermal lipid content were tested by non-invasive skin detector to evaluate the impact on the skin barrier. Results:After treatment, the score of acne lesions and DLQI scores decreased in both groups, and the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The overall effective rate of the observation group after treatment(95.35%)was better than that of the control group(74.42%),and the recurrence rate of the observation group(8.57%)after 3 months after the end of treatment was lower than that of the control group(23.81%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the skin barrier function of both groups improved, and the indicators of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sequential therapy in the treatment of mild to moderate acne has the characteristics of significant efficacy, low recurrence rate and skin barrier repair, which can significantly improve the short-and long-term effects of acne treatment.
