Observation on the Curative Effect of Acupoint Catgut Embedding Combined with Babaodan Capsule in Treatment of ⅢA Chronic Prostatitis(Damp-heat Stasis Type)
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of acupoint catgut embedding combined with Babaodan capsule in the treatment of ⅢA chronic prostatitis(damp-heat stasis type).Methods:One hundred and twenty patients with ⅢA chronic prostatitis(damp-heat stasis type)from the affiliated hospital of Jiangxi University of Chinese medicine were randomly divided into observation group(n=60)and control group(n=60).The observation group was treated with acupoint catgut embedding and oral Babaodan capsule,and the control group was treated with Babaodan capsule alone.The changes of NIH-CPSI score(pain or discomfort,urinary tract symptoms,quality of life),routine white blood cell count(WBC),lecithin corpuscle count(SPL),maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax)and TCM syndrome score were recorded and compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:After treatment,NIH-CPSI score,routine leukocyte count WBC,SPL,Qmax and TCM syndrome score of the two groups were better than those before treatment(P<0.05);compared with the control group,the improvement degree of the observation group was better,and the cure rate,significant rate and overall effective rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint catgut embedding combined with Babaodan capsule is effective in the treatment of ⅢA chronic prostatitis(damp-heat stasis type),which can be used as an innovative collaborative treatment mode of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of this disease.
