Antibacterial Effect of Compound Essential Oil Emulsion for Preventing Hair Loss and Nourishing Hair on Seborrheic Alopecia Related Bacteria
Objective:To study the antibacterial effect of Artemisia argyi compound essential oil emulsion on pathogenic bacteria related to seborrheic hair loss. Methods:The Oxford cup method and broth dilution method were used to study the size of the inhibitory zone and minimum inhibitory concentration of Artemisia argyi compound essential oil emulsion against pathogenic bacteria related to seborrheic alopecia(Staphylococcus aureus,Propionibacterium acnes, and Malassezia furfur). Results:The MIC values of Artemisia argyi compound traditional Chinese medicine essential oil emulsion against Staphylococcus aureus,Malassezia furfur, and Propionibacterium acnes were 0.101,0.101,and 0.203 mg/mL,respectively,with inhibition zone sizes of(16.33±1.53)mm,(13.00±1.73)mm,and(11.00±0.45)mm.Conclusion:Artemisia argyi compound essential oil emulsion has an inhibitory effect on pathogenic bacteria related to seborrheic hair loss, thereby alleviating seborrheic hair loss.
