Inflammation is a common defense mechanism for the body's self-protection.With the excessive use of anti-inflammatory drugs in modern society,the cure rate of inflammation has decreased,which has become an urgent clinical problem to be solved.Plant essential oil is a natural compound extracted from aromatic plants,which has anti-inflammatory effects due to its complex active substances.We have compiled literature from the past 11 years and summarized the anti-inflammatory effects of plant essential oils from four aspects:inhibiting the production of related inflammatory factors,pain relief,antioxidant activity,and anti edema.This provides some reference for the scientific research of plant essential oils.
