Heat-sensitive Moxibustion Combined with Ear Tip Bloodletting in the Treatment of Phlegm-damp Congestion Type Hypertension:A Randomized Controlled Trial
Objective:To investigate the curative effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with ear tip bloodletting on hypertension patients with phlegm-damp congestion type, and to provide a TCM solution for clinical treatment of this disease. Methods:Eighty patients with essential hypertension were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group of 40 cases each. The observation group was given heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with ear tip bloodletting, and the control group was given oral western medicine, and blood pressure was measured and TCM symptom scores were performed before and after 4 weeks of treatment.Clinical effectiveness was observed. Results:The systolic and diastolic blood pressure values of both groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The TCM symptom scores of both groups were lower after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group(P<0.05).In terms of clinical efficiency, the observation group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effectiveness of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with ear tip bloodletting in the treatment of phlegm-damp congestion type hypertension is remarkable, which can effectively lower the patient's blood pressure and improve the clinical discomfort symptoms.
