Effect of Modified Shentong Zhuyu Decoction Combined with Acupuncture on the Levels of Inflammatory Factors and Lumbar Function in Patients with Low Back Pain
Objective:To explore the effect of modified Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with acupuncture on the levels of inflammatory factors and lumbar function in patients with low back pain.Methods:80 patients with low back pain admitted to nanchang hongdu hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from August 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, each with 40 cases. The control group was treated with acupuncture, while the observation group was treated with modified Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with acupuncture.Compare the treatment efficacy, inflammatory factors, pain level, and lumbar function between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)in 2 groups after treatment were lower than before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS)and Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)of the two groups after 2 weeks of treatment were lower than before treatment, while the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of modified Shentong Zhuyu Decoction and acupuncture can reduce the levels of inflammatory factors in patients with low back pain, alleviate their lower back pain and lumbar dysfunction, and improve the therapeutic effect.
