Objective:To explore the functions and significance of the"Editor's words"of Bencao Pinhui Jingyao.Methods:According to study the content of"Editor's words"to understand the situation of"Editor's words",analyze the characteristics of"Editor's words"and sum up its function.Results:All the"Editor's words"in the book are a total of 159 articles,which can be roughly divided into 10 categories,such as name recognition,origin,classification,morphology,variety,falsification,processing,harvesting and processing,function and pharmacology.The content is rich and involves a wide range of subjects,including those who release the name of the drug,those who verify the source of the drug,those who supplement the morphology and function of the drug,and those who analyze the variety of the drug,many of which are not prepared in the previous generation of herbal medicine.Conclusion:Although the book was published more than 400 years after it was written,doctors have different opinions on it,but it retains a large number of drug documents and"Editor's words"also reflect the situation of drug use at that time.Although the textual research is not rigorous,the study of this part can provide a reliable basis for comprehensive evaluation of the academic value of the book,and also provide clues for clarifying the confused history of medicinal varieties.
