Effect of Different Acupuncture Methods on Motor Function and Cytokines of Rats with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Objective:To study the effect of different acupuncture methods on motor function and cytokines of rats with chronic fatigue syndrome.Methods:Sixty-four SD rats were randomly divided into blank group, model group, acupuncture group 1,acupuncture group 2,electroacupuncture group 1,electroacupuncture group 2,moxibustion group 1 and moxibustion group 2.It was through chronic multiple compound stress method to set up the CFS model of rats,Acupuncture group 1,electroacupuncture group 1,moxibustion group 1,selected Baihui,Zusanli(double)and Sanyinjiao(double)points, respectively using acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion treatment, once a day for 18 days.Acupuncture group 2,electroacupuncture group 2 and moxibustion group 2 were the same as group 1,once every other day for 9 treatments. After the treatment, detect motor function of the rats and the serum secretion levels of IL-4、IL-10、IFN-γ、TNF-α.Results:Exhaustion swimming time in the model group was shorter than blank group(P<0.05),each group after treatment was longer than the model group(P<0.05),among them, moxibustion group 1 is the longest;the levels of IL-4 and IL-10 in the model group is increased and the levels of IFN-γ and TNF-α is decreased than the blank group. After treatment, the levels of IL-4 and IL-10 decreased and the levels of IFN-γ and TNF-α increased in all groups, moxibustion group 1 improved IL-4 and IL-10 better than the other treatment groups. Conclusion:Acupuncture, electroacupuncture and moxibustion can improve the motor function and immune function of CFS rats, among which, moxibustion once a day has the best effect.
