The housing of an accessory casing was deformed after use,and it was speculated that the deformation may be caused by the residual stress of the housing of the accessory casing gradually released during work. Therefore, the distribution and change of residual stress of the front housing of the accessory casing before and after heat treatment were simulated and analyzed, and compared with the measurement results, then the simulation results were confirmed to be credible. In order to reduce the residual stress, the thermal spectral harmonic technology was used to treat the front housing of the accessory casing. After treatment, the residual stress was reduced significantly, which indicated that the thermal spectral harmonic technology could effectively reduce the residual stress.
