Effect of laser cleaning process on the performance of flat copper wire solder joints
For the production demand of new energy vehicle battery large module, laser welding test was carried out on Busbar and electrode lugs of the core, changing the laser power, welding speed and other process param-eters,comparing the stirred laser welding and non-stirred laser welding process, and examining the organization and morphology of the welded joints, porosity, shear strength and other properties. It was found that the opti-mized process of Busbar laser welding was 3 400 W for the center power,1 800 W for the outer ring power,25 mm/s for the welding speed,+1 mm for the defocusing amount, and the welded joints were well formed.Com-paring the stirred laser welding and non-stirred laser welding process, the maximum shear strength of Busbar la-ser stirred welded joints is 164 MPa,and the maximum shear strength of non-stirred laser welded joints is 152 MPa.The joints obtained by laser stirred welding compared to non-laser welding have a lower porosity,a better tissue morphology, and better mechanical properties, and therefore are the most suitable for Busbar welding process.
