Interdisciplinary Cooperation,Government Assistance and Research Productivity:Empirical Analysis Based on Academic Organizations for Artificial Intelligence in Universities
Interdisciplinary cooperation is the driving force for improving research productivity, but most of the existing study is based on a single theory without providing a reasonable explanation of how and under what conditions interdisciplinary cooperation can promote the development of research productivity. This paper integrates the research framework of resource-based theory and social identity theory, and takes academic organizations for artificial intelligence in universities as an example to examine the logical process by which interdisciplinary cooperation promotes research productivity,as well as the role of government assistance in this process. This study finds a positive relationship between organizational heterogeneity and research productivity in interdisciplinary cooperation, government assistance for interdisciplinary cooperation does not play a moderating role in the relationship between them. There are U-shaped and inverted U-shaped relationships between organizational linkages with industry, organizational interdisciplinary research evaluation and organizational research productivity, respectively, which are strengthened by government assistance for interdisciplinary cooperation. The research findings have outstanding academic value to further clarify the source of research productivity, and also have important practical significance for the establishment and internal management innovation of interdisciplinary organizations in universities.
