The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes the diversified development of high schools,and the main body of implementing this strategy is high schools.Depicting the"samples"of diversified high schools,Establishing the"Individuality"of personalized education,and breaking the homogenization in running school,these are challenge to the division method of"layer"instead of"class".School classification has a variety of dimensions such as function,content,attributes and management system.The division concept of function+content,high quality+characteristics can be used as a useful thinking for breaking layers.Classification should not only be refined in technical methods,but also be researched in terms of school interest concerns,results and impact assessment,policy support,but also be considered overally in situation of high school pattern optimization,ecological improvement,and education method change.
