Causes and prevention of bullying in schools:a psychological perspective
School bullying is prevalent among children and adolescents across the world,and can lead to physical and mental health problems of children and adolescents,and a heavy burden to families and society.This paper mainly analyzed the problem of school bullying from the perspective of psychology.This paper first presented data on the prevalence and occurrence characteristics of school bullying.We then elucidated the influencing factors and mechanisms of school bullying,based on the person-ecology model.The influencing factor of school bullying included children and adolescents'cognitive-emotional-behavioral factors,peer processes,teachers'beliefs and attitudes,and school and classroom environment.Finally,future directions on the prevention and treatment of bullying were put forward.
