Interpreting and Reshaping:The Developmental Context and Responses of Vocational Education from the Perspective of Philosophy of Technology
Research endeavors to'probe'the development of occupational education from the perspective of philosophy of technology,based on an understanding of the essence of technology.It contends that occupational education confronts issues such as the obscuring of'comprehensive human development'by technological modernity,the lack of adherence to a system extension and the integration of vocational and general education,the continual emergence of new job demands due to the accelerating evolution of modern technology,the waning capacity of technological innovation support,and the obscuration of technological ethics education by rationality of technological tools.It suggests that in the new stage,occupational education needs to strengthen its response to'technological modernity,'construct a vocational and general education integration system based on a'technology knowledge capability framework,'enhance the supply capability of'high-quality technical talents,'reshape the supporting function of technological innovation,and perfect the content structure guided by the orientation of'holistic technology.'These proposals aim to provide some ideas and choices for the reform and development of occupational education and to accelerate the construction of a modem education system.
