The Current Situation,Challenges,and Promotion Strategies of Integration Between Vocational Education and General Education in the Basic Education Stage
According to the Vocational Education Law,"we will coordinate and promote the coordinated development of vocational education and general education".The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to promote integration between vocational education and general education,between industry and education,and between scientific research and education.The integration of vocational education and general education is related to the design of China's education system and the vital interests of students,and needs to be highly valued and steadily promoted.Although China has made some progress in integration between vocational education and general education,there are still some prominent problems:vocational education lacks attractiveness compared to general education,the people have a strong response to premature vocational education separation,and the deepening of integration between vocational education and general education faces institutional design difficulties.In this regard,it is necessary to accelerate the top-level design and overall planning of integration between vocational education and general education,actively promote the construction of comprehensive high schools,promote integration between vocational education and general education in the high-quality development of vocational education,and optimize the social environment for the coordinated development of vocational education and general education.
