How can Skills Competitions Promote the Reform of Personnel Cultivation in Vocational Education:A Qualitative Analysis Based on Contestants
The skills competition is a new development strategy for vocational education to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents.To explore the possibility and value of integrating skills competitions into the personnel cultivation,firstly,32 winners were selected as research subjects,and grounded theory was used for three-level coding to obtain three types of gains for students participating in the competition:skill accumulation,diathesis improvement,and career growth.Secondly,5 mentors were selected as research subjects,text analysis was conducted to obtain practical experience in integrating skills competitions into daily teaching,curriculum,and evaluation mechanisms in vocational colleges.Finally,based on the above analysis,four countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the reform of personnel cultivation in vocational colleges through skills competitions are proposed,including setting up a"layered"and"1+1"curriculum arrangement,innovating"project-based"and"school-based"teaching models,establishing a"multi-teacher"and"development oriented"teacher team.
