Fairness Analysis of College Admissions Policies in the New Era
A fairness analysis framework for college admissions policies in the new era has been constructed based on three types of fairness:equality fairness,compensatory fairness,and differential fairness.College entrance examination registration,student assistance policy and the admissions process reflect equality fairness.The revitalization plan for central and western regions,special admissions plans,and bonus points in college entrance examinations ensure compensatory fairness.The reform of subject selection in college entrance examination,the selection of top talents and the admissions model based on ranking and assignment aim to differential fairness.The article analyzes the effectiveness of these measures in protecting the fairness,examines the current practical difficulties and further explore practical directions for improving the fairness of college admissions policies in the future.
