Do Chinese-foreign Cooperatively-run Institutions Aim to Cultivate Internationalized Talents:Analysis of the Talent Training Goals of Chinese-foreign Cooperatively-run Institutions and Their Chinese Alma Maters
As an important carrier of internationalization of higher education,no comprehensive examination of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run institutions'talent cultivation goals to study their performance on internationalized talents cultivation.Also,with the improvement of the internationalization level of their Chinese Alma Maters,especially the Double First-Class universities,what are the similarities and differences in talent training goals?By comparing and analyzing the talent cultivation goals of institutions and their Chinese Alma Maters,research finds that institutions focus on the description of international talents rather than the positioning,focus on the international application of majors and abilities,and focus on localization.Additionally,this study constructs eight types of talent cultivation positioning based on three dimensions:knowledge cultivation,scope orientation,and alma maters level.Correlation analysis shows that there is no significant correlation between the talent cultivation goals of institutions and alma maters,while a significant correlation between whether alma maters are Double First-Class universities and the knowledge and professional elements of institutions in talent cultivation goals.The research suggests that to cultivate international talents,it is necessary to balance differences,timeliness,and localization in training objectives,pay attention to resource sharing in the training process,and actively respond to national strategic needs in terms of training outcomes.
