The Research on the Spatial Structure Measurement and Driving Factors of Higher Vocational Education in the Yangtze River Delta
Spatial structure is not only the most fundamental attribute and intuitive manifestation of city agglomerations, but also an important support to high-quality integration of city agglomerations. The spatial structure of higher vocational education in the Yangtze River Delta is measured by the two-city primacy index, the Pareto index and the standard Herfindahl-Hirschman index,it is found that the higher vocational education presents an unbalanced structure of"center-periphery"in the spatial scale of the city agglomeration and metropolitan area and the capital city being dominant one in the spatial scale of city, the development of higher vocational education in the geographical edge cities is facing marginalized.Adopting the System-GMM to explore the factors which influence the spatial structure, the result shows that the economic development, urbanization, governments'attention, the scale of high school education graduate, and the income of urban residents have positive impacts,in opposite to the income of rural residents. It is proposed to deepen the synergetic development of higher vocational education in the Yangtze River Delta with metropolitan area as the spatial scale, facilitate the synergetic development with information as technology support, and so on.
