The Crisis of Subjectivity and Educational Responses in the Digital Age
Subjectivity refers to the personified nature of"desire""emotion""reason",and so on.Although subjectivity is an eternal genus of human nature, the focus of its expression in different historical periods is not the same.Entering the digital era,the subject encounters many new crises in terms of desire, emotion, rationality and personality, which are mainly manifested in the acceleration, expansion and falsification of desire, the performativity, consumption and disablement of emotion, the expansion of technical rationality, the weakening of individual rationality and the slippage of moral rationality,as well as the"objectification",narcissism and closure of personality, and so on.The crisis of subjectivity in the digital era needs to be responded to positively, and education,as a way to promote subjectivity, should do something about it.The path to respond to it includes regaining the virtue of moderation, paying attention to natural emotions, emphasizing the refinement of rationality, and fostering a healthy personality, and so on.
