身体不仅是公共精神的载体,更是形塑体脑互动、知行相生的公共精神的重要依托,它为整全性公共精神的养成提供生理基础、环境体验和行动能力.受传统认知思维的影响,公共精神培育片面追求知性的养成,深陷"头脑丰满"的圈囿,漠视身体行动,割裂了公共精神的完整性,从而导致了心智相离、行动困难的"离身公共人"的产生.具身认知理论认为,身体在认知发展中发挥基础作用,环境对认知形成具有导向性,身体与环境相互作用下的认知葆有动态生成性.公共精神培育应该使身体回归,利用身体的隐喻映射充盈公共理念,通过身体的心智交融形塑公共品质,依托身体的行动机能实现公共福祉.
The Embodied Turn in the Cultivation of Public Spirit
The body is not only the carrier of public spirit,but also an important support for shaping the interaction between body and brain,and the combination of knowledge and action in public spirit.It provides the physiological basis,environmental experience,and action ability for the cultivation of an integrated public spirit.Influenced by traditional cognitive thinking,the cultivation of public spirit has been a one-sided pursuit of intellectual development,trapped in the circle of"mental fullness",neglecting physical action and splitting the integrity of public spirit,thus leading to the emergence of the"disembodied public person",who is mentally detached and has difficulties in taking actions.Embodied cognition theory posits that the body plays a fundamental role in cognitive development,the environment guides cognitive formation,and cognition is dynamically generated through the interaction between body and environment.The cultivation of public spirit should bring back the body,utilize the metaphorical mapping of the body to enrich public concepts,shape public qualities through the integration of body and mind,and realize public well-being through the action capabilities of the body.
