Towards Liberal Labor Education:The Value Divergence and Educational Reevaluation of Labor Education
The value identification of labor education is an important factor affecting the belief in labor education in schools. The current discourse and practice of labor education have a value divergence between social low evaluation and educational emphasis, which stems from the orientation of labor education towards workers. The labor education targeted by workers has its social limitations, cultural limitations, and educational deficiencies. The discourse and practice of labor education in the new era should be based on an educational standpoint to reassess the educational value of labor, then clarify the confusion between labor and labor discourse, and strengthen the belief in labor education in schools. The reevaluation of the value of labor education starts with the debate on liberal education, uses the elements of liberal education as the evaluation criteria, and uses liberal labor education as the educational philosophy. The liberal values of labor education not only inherits and innovates the traditional value of rational development in free education, but also has new value in cultivating students'ability to endow meaning and intrinsic value norms. These value connotations help to increase the social identity of labor education, enhance teachers'beliefs in labor education, and enhance the modern rationality of labor education.
