基于病原菌效应蛋白的甘蔗抗病育种新策略

甘蔗(Saccharum officinarum L.)病害是制约甘蔗生长和甘蔗产业发展的重要因素,而选育和推广甘蔗抗病品种是甘蔗产业高质量可持续发展的有效手段,但传统的甘蔗病害抗病育种具有优质基因挖掘和功能验证困难等局限性.效应蛋白是病原菌分泌以协助其定植宿主的小分子蛋白,解析病原菌效应蛋白与植物免疫系统的相互作用关系对于甘蔗抗病品种改良具有重要的指导意义.本综述讨论了宿主免疫系统的响应网络以及病原体通过分泌效应蛋白来逃避或破坏宿主免疫系统以成功定植感染的相关策略,并基于此提出了设计和改造甘蔗抗病新品种的相关思路.
The New Strategy for Disease Resistance Sugarcane(Saccharum officinarum L.)Breeding Based on Pathogenic-effect Proteins
Sugarcane(Saccharum officinarum L.)diseases are important factors restricting the growth of sugarcane and the develop-ment of the sugarcane industry,and the selection and promotion of sugarcane disease-resistant varieties is an effective means for the high-quality and sustainable development of the sugarcane industry.However,the traditional breeding of sugarcane disease-resistant varieties has limitations,such as difficulties in the mining of high-quality genes and the validation of their functions.Effector proteins are small-molecule proteins secreted by pathogenic bacteria to assist their colonization of the host,and analyzing the interaction between pathogenic bacterial effector proteins and the plant immune system is of great significance in guiding the improvement of disease-resis-tant varieties in sugarcane.This review discusses the response network of the host immune system and the related strategies of patho-gens to evade or destroy the host immune system by secreting effector proteins to successfully colonize the infection,and based on this,suggests related ideas for designing and adapting new disease-resistant varieties of sugarcane.
