Safe Application of Lithium Ion Battery in Data Center
This paper introduces the working principle of lithium ion battery(hereinafter referred to as"lithium battery")and its advantages and limitations in application in the data center,expounds the relevant requirements of national standards and association standards for the potential fire safety hazards of lithium batteries in application in the data center,analyzes the characteristics differences between lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries used in UPS system in the data center,the differences between lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries in battery management together with UPS and the differences between UPS standby lithium batteries and electrochemical energy storage,summarizes the prospects and challenges of lithium battery security application in the data center,and looks forward to the future research field.
