Analysis of Measures for Atmospheric Overvoltage Protection of Rooftop PV Systems
In this paper,the risks of lightning strike in three scenarios are introduced.The damage source and risk of atmospheric overvoltage are considered based on specific conditions.By referring to the latest requirements in international standards and the latest results in relevant literature,this paper analyzes the induced overvoltage of PV systems without external lightning protection systems,focuses on risk assessment for atmospheric overvoltage protection of electrical installations and the characteristics of and methods for risk assessment of atmospheric overvoltage of PV systems,and provides solutions to the setting,selection,and locating of AC SPD and DC SPD for PV systems based on case study.
