This paper focuses on the causes of academic dishonesty of teachers in colleges and universities and the negative effects on college students growth. University teachers should have the serious spirit on academic research and the rigorous style of study. According to the plagiarism behavior and counterfeiting phenomenon occurred frequently in the colleges and universities in recent years, we analyze the reasons of the teachers in academic dishonesty, further elucidate that teachers are not only the leaders of the healthy campus life, but also the instructors of the personnel training. If the teacher cannot be a person of exemplary virtue, he would form serious negative impact on the school style of study. Meanwhile, he would bring negative effect on the training of scientific spirit and the developing of academic norms. Academic dishonesty is also not beneficial to the cultivation of students' academic morality, is not beneficial to the healthy growth of the college students, is not beneficial to the cultivation of students' innovation ability. In the end, it would have a serious impact on the quality and reputation of the graduates.
