Research on Key Ventilation Technologies for the Construction of Wangjiazhai Extra Long Tunnel with Over 6.5 Kilometers of Single Head Excavation
The Wangjiazhai Tunnel on the Linxiang Qingshuihe Expressway in Lincang,Yunnan has a total length of 8040m.The entrance and exit tunnels are excavated simultaneously.However,due to the special unfavorable geological conditions of the entrance section,the construction progress is slow,and the exit end has been excavated for nearly 6500m in a long distance,exceeding the world record of 6300m single head ventilation for the Qinling Zhongnan Mountain Tunnel.Ventilation and dust reduction in engineering construction,as well as water and electricity,have become very difficult constraints for ultra long distance excavation.During tunnel construction,factors such as ultra long distance excavation,internal combustion engine emissions,and dust after blasting make ventilation an important challenge.The Wangjiazhai Tunnel adopts pressure and pressure+relay ventilation methods,successfully solving the construction ventilation problem of single head excavation exceeding 6500 meters.The article also provides a detailed introduction to the ventilation calculation methods,ventilation equipment configuration,construction environment safety standards,and real-time monitoring of ventilation effects required for tunnel construction.This study provides experience and reference for ventilation in long-distance single head excavation construction similar to long tunnels.
