Application of Stepped Layout in Vertical Design of Substation
Vertical design of substation shall be based on the terrain characteristics,and different design options shall be selected according to site conditions.The article analyzes the stepped vertical design of a 500kV substation in Ecuador.The substation site is divided into five levels of platform,and achieved significant economic benefits.Process arrangement,traffic organization,site drainage,slope protection and other key points of stepped vertical design are summarized and analyzed for reference of similar projects.
