A Study on the Coordinated Development of Urbanization and Industrial Structure in Inner Mongolia Based on Synergy Theory
Drawing from systems theory and synergy theory,we have constructed a comprehensive evaluation index system between the levels of new urbanization and industrial structure evolution.Utilizing the entropy method for composite weighting of the evaluation indicators,we have introduced a model for calculating the coordination development level between new urbanization and industrial structure evolution. An empirical analysis of the coordination between new urbanization and industrial structure evolution levels in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2015 to 2023 has been conducted. The study reveals that the comprehensive development levels of both systems have been on a continuous upward trajectory. The new urbanization system has been driving urban deepening through pathways such as population aggregation and enhancement of urban functions.Meanwhile, the industrial structure evolution system has been promoting economic transformation and upgrading through means such as technological innovation and industrial upgrading.Additionally, the development trajectories of the two systems have intersected twice, indicating a close relationship characterized by mutual competition and reliance, and achieving dynamic adjustment and collaborative optimization in resource allocation and spatial layout.Furthermore, the growth of both systems has shown a stable trend, demonstrating stability, sustainability, synergy, and complementarity. This contributes to enhancing the overall competitiveness of the region and provides support for achieving high-quality development. These characteristics enrich our understanding of regional development dynamics and offer a basis for policy-making decisions.
