Study on the Seismic Behavior of Articulated Special-Shaped Composite Column Frame Composed of Square Steel Tube
In order to solve the problems of low degree of assembly type and standardization, numerous welding work on site and waste of indoor building area in rural residential system, this paper proposes an articulated square steel pipe composite special-shaped column frame system. In the system, the special-shaped column is an L-shaped column formed by combining three hollow steel pipes with steel plates and stiffeners. The beam and column joints are hinged joints connected by web bolts. In this paper, the seismic performance of the system is studied.by conducting pseudo-static tests. The results show that by comparing the articulated concrete-filled steel tubular composite special-shaped column, the articulated hollow steel tubular composite special-shaped column frame system rotates before the beam end,and the failure mode is the column base failure, which has better seismic energy dissipation and slower strength and stiffness degradation.By comparing the skeleton curves of rigid joints and articulated joints,it is found that the stiffness degree of joints has a larger influence to the overall lateral stiffness of the structure.
