Reinforcement Design and Construction Simulation Analysis for the Functional Renovation of a Steel Stadium Roof
This paper takes the steel roof of an Olympic stadium as the research object, the reinforcement and construction scheme were investigated.Firstly,a computational model was established, the internal force and deformation of the roof after functional renovation were analyzed, and the members which needs to be reinforced were identified.Further, finite element analysis of the structure was carried out,and the reinforcement scheme including strengthening joints, rods and structure was determined. The force transfer system of the structure was improved effectively, the bearing capacity of the structure was increased and the stress and deformation of the structure under additional loads were reduced.A series of methods, including adopting prestressed anchor cable, enlarging cross-section and setting rigid round pipe were taken to strengthen the steel roof, which was aimed to ensure structural safety and building requirements. In addition, the construction process corresponding to the reinforcement scheme was simulated by using finite element method,to provide a reference for the construction. The engineering practice of the provincial sports games shows that the reinforcement methods of this project are simple and effective.
