In order to investigate the uniaxial tensile mechanical properties of type Ⅱ grouted sleeve lapping connector(referred to as APC connector),a detailed explicit dynamic model of ribbed steel bar was proposed using ABAQUS software.The effects of steel bar position,sleeve wall thickness and lap length on the failure mode,bearing capacity,ductility and sleeve strain of the specimens were simulated and analyzed.The results show that the failure mode,load-displacement curve,bearing capacity and ductility of the specimens are in good agreement with the test results,which verifies the accuracy of the detailed model.The ultimate bearing capacity and ductility of the specimens are maximized when the post-installed rebar is arranged on the axis of the sleeve close to the pre-embedded rebar,while the ultimate bearing capacity of the specimen is minimized when the post-installed rebar is eccentrically arranged close to the sleeve.The longitudinal strain at the mid-section of the sleeve near the steel bar is greater than that of the far side of the steel bar,while the circumferential strain exhibits an opposite trend.The bearing capacity of the specimen increases with the increase of wall thickness of the sleeve,and it is suggested that the thickness of the long side and the short side of the sleeve should be 8 mm and 4 mm,respectively.When the thickness of the long side of the sleeve is less than 8 mm,increasing the thickness of the sleeve can effectively reduce the circumferential strain of the sleeve.Prior to tensile fracture of steel bars,the bearing capacity and ductility of the specimen increase with the increase of lap length.As the lap length increases,the longitudinal strain of the short side of the sleeve initially increases and then decreases,while the circumferential strain of the long side gradually decreases.The C30 concrete is able to meet the anti-deflection requirements of the connector.The formulae for the bond strength and critical lap length of the type Ⅱ APC connector were proposed,which can provide a theoretical basis for the design of the type Ⅱ APC connector.
