An Empirical Study of Knowledge Transfer and Safety Performance of Construction Workers in a Resilient Safety Culture
This study aims to effectively promote the communication of construction workers to improve their knowledge and skills in safety training, and thus enhance safety performance. From the perspective of resilient safety culture,a relationship model of construction workers'safety training-resilient safety culture-knowledge transfer behaviors-safety performance is constructed.262 valid data were processed and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the study reveals that a resilient safety culture promotes knowledge transfer, which in turn positively affects safety performance;and that knowledge gained from safety training can sustainably enhance organizational safety performance. In addition, this study also concludes that knowledge transfer behavior partially mediates the relationship between safety training and safety performance;resilient safety culture partially mediates the relationship between safety training and knowledge transfer behavior. The study provides new ideas for establishing an open learning and communication environment in construction industry organizations and enriches the theoretical system of knowledge transfer behavior of construction workers.
