A Simulation Study for Value Added Mechanism in Whole Process Engineering Consultancy of Construction Projects
The research investigates the value-added mechanisms of whole process engineering consulting to promote its widespread adoption. From the perspective of entire life cycle of construction projects, the principles and influencing factors of value added in whole process engineering consulting projects are identified and analyzed.System dynamics is used to construct a value-added system model for the whole process engineering consulting service mode. The simulation analysis reveals the value-added mechanisms of the whole process engineering consulting service mode. The results indicate that the adoption of the whole process engineering consulting mode has different levels of benefits for the construction unit, consulting service providers, and society in the entire project construction process. This validates the deep integration of project decision-making,construction,and operations,as well as the flow of information between the design and construction phases during project development. It enhances the ability to mitigate project risks and expands the opportunities for achieving project goals.
