Simulation Research on Dynamic Control of HVAC Systems in Airport Terminals Considering Passenger Flow Changes
Airport terminals are critical transport infrastructures characterized by complex building structures, large passenger volumes, and high flow rates.Their Heating,Ventilation, and Air Conditioning(HVAC)systems are usually prescheduled to control large areas without differences, ignoring the uneven characteristics of the passenger flow distribution in the airport terminals. This paper proposes a method that combines passenger flow simulation and building energy consumption simulation. It establishes a passenger flow model of the terminals based on an agent-based model and dynamically controls the temperature and fresh air volume according to passenger flow data.Harbin Taiping International Airport is taken as a case study to analyze the energy-saving benefits and thermal comfort. Our results support the design and optimization of HVAC systems in future airport terminals, offering more possibilities for airport energy management.
