Research on the Incentive Effect of Environmental Regulations on Green Construction Behavior:An Analysis Based on SOR Theory
This research aims to reveal the incentive pathways of environmental regulations across different dimensions for green construction behavior in engineering construction enterprises, and explore whether there is a mediating role of corporate environmental responsibility in the pathways. This study constructed a theoretical model of environmental regulation on green construction behavior based on the SOR(stimulus-organism-response)cognitive behavior framework and institutional theory, and analyzed the theoretical model using the PLS-SEM method. The results indicate that in engineering construction enterprises, overall command and control,market-based incentives, public participation in environmental decisions, and corporate environmental responsibility all show significant impacts on green construction behavior.Secondly, environmental regulations can stimulate the mediating effect of corporate environmental responsibility, thereby motivating companies to adopt green construction behaviors. The research provides important references for better incentivizing green construction in the engineering construction industry.
