To comprehensively explore the impact of operation and maintenance safety management on underground utility tunnels,a novel performance assessment model leveraging the cloud model was introduced.Initially,by dissecting the factors influencing the safety of tunnel maintenance operations,an evaluation index system for safety management within these tunnels was established.Subsequently,a hybrid approach combining the analytical hierarchy process and the entropy method was employed to ascertain the weight of each evaluation criterion. This approach culminated in the integration of the cloud model to assess the operational and maintenance safety of the tunnels. The findings indicate that the safety performance of the surveyed tunnels falls within the spectrum of"satisfactory"to"excellent",with a general inclination towards"excellent".It also pinpoints that training and enhancement of personnel are the vulnerable aspects of safety management. This model not only provides an effective means of evaluating safety management efficacy but also identifies potential risk areas, thereby contributing to the theoretical framework surrounding the performance assessment of tunnel maintenance safety management.
