Research on the application progress of flame retardant polymer materials in the field of engineering
Flame retardant polymer materials are a type of polymer compounds that have the ability to delay or pre-vent flame spread after special treatment or scientific design.With the improvement of safety regulations and the in-creasingly strict fire prevention requirements,the research and development of efficient flame retardant materials have become a hot topic in the field of materials science.This article categorizes and discusses the flame retardant mechanisms of polymer materials,and starts with different types of flame retardant polymer materials to explain the current research situation of these materials.Examples are given from the fields of architecture and automotive engi-neering to illustrate the current application of flame retardant polymer materials in the engineering field,hoping to provide some inspiration for relevant practitioners.
