In the using of PTA silo,there are risks of fire,explosion,external pressure instability,failure strength,overload and material blocking,which seriously affect the production and safety of PTA factory.This paper analyzes the causes of each risk as is mentioned above,and puts forward solutions such as using inert gas to inert the silo,automatically filling the inert gas when the silo pressure is low,setting breathing valve,using the weighing instru-ment to control the weight of silo,and setting the fluidizing system to facilitate material flow,and good results have been obtained in practical application.
