Determination of gold in geological and geochemical exploration samples by polyurethane foam adsorption emission spectrometry
The mixed solution composed of HCl,NaCl and KMnO4 is used to treat the gold containing sample to dissolve the gold element in it.The dissolved solution is adsorbed through polyurethane foam plastic, and the high selectivity and adsorption capacity of foam plastic to gold are used to achieve effective gold enrichment.During the measurement process, carbon powder was introduced as a buffer, and the gold content was determined by arc emis-sion spectroscopy, with platinum(Pt)added as the internal standard element. The detection limit of this method is 0.25 ng/g,indicating that the minimum detectable concentration of gold in the sample is very low, making it suit-able for trace level gold analysis. The precision of the method(RSD,n=12)is between 3.15%and 12.83%.Covering a wide concentration range from 0.30 to 1500.00 ng,the recovery rate ranges from 96%to 106%,dem-onstrating the efficiency and accuracy of this method in the entire process of gold dissolution,adsorption,desorp-tion,and determination.Through the determination of national first-class geochemical standard substances, the re-sults show that this method can accurately determine the gold content in actual samples, and is not significantly af-fected by factors such as the complexity of the sample matrix. The results are consistent with the standard values.
