Influence of the number of protruding layers of dougong on the seismic performance of wooden structures
Wooden ancient buildings are an important part of the history of world architecture. Most of the current researches focus on the seismic performance of the whole structure,or analyses of the stress mechanism of the component separately. The main research components include dougong, column, beam frame, etc, but there are few researches on the influence of the component on the seismic performance of the whole structure.Take the dougong in the palace structure as the research object,ANSYS and ABAQUS softwares were used to analyze its development mode and dynamic time history.Through analyzing and comparing the dougong with different number of layers, the influence of the change of dougong number on its seismic performance was summarized. The results show that the displacement of column feet and column tops of the two models is not much different under the action of seismic waves, but the displacement of the ridge position of the five-step dougong model is 40%more than that of the three-step dougong model, the acceleration of the column top of the five-step dougong is 23.02%smaller than that of the three-step dougong, and the acceleration of the ridge of the five-step dougong is 24.27%smaller than that of the three-step dougong. It is proved that the increase of the number of dougong layers in a certain range is beneficial to the energy dissipation and shock absorption of the structure.
